Carmen Electra is an American actress, glamour model, dancer, TV personality and sex symbol. Her birth name is Tara Leigh Patrick and she was born on April 20, 1972 in Sharonville, Ohio. Her mother was a singer, and her father a guitarist. She had one sister who died of a heart attack in 1998, the same year she lost her mother to a brain tumor.

Carmen is a graduate of Princeton High School in Sharonville. After meeting pop icon Prince in 1991, soon after she moved to California, she signed a deal with his record company Paisley Park. Her debut album was not well received and her singing career never really took off. It was during this time that she became known as Carmen Electra. After shifting focus, Carmen started appearing in TV shows. She was featured nude in a Playboy spread in 1996 and replaced Jenny McCarthy as the co-host of MTV's Singled Out.

After the show went off the air Electra took on the role of Leilani McKenzie from 1997-1998, in the popular television series "Baywatch". She also played a part in the "Baywatch" reunion movie in 2003 called "Baywatch: Hawaiian wedding". Electra was featured in Playboy four more times, three of which she was also on the cover (December 2000, April 2003, January 2009). Her movie credits include films such as "Good Burger" (1997), "The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human" (1999), "Scary Movie" 1 and 4 (2000, 2006) and others.

Romantically she was involved with controversial former NBA star Dennis Rodman, whom she was married to for several days in 1998. In 2003 she became the wife of Dave Navarro, who was in the rock band Jane's Addiction. During the time they were dating and a little after they were married they starred in their own MTV reality TV show called Till Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave. Their divorce was finalized in February 2007.
